SUPER SUNDAY 25.07.10

Last Sunday saw the second installment of the Super Sundays Series for 2010 take place in the newly re-jigged Combat Zone Paintball Games Venue. The re-appearance of some of our Battle hardened veterans as well as the recruiting of gutsy rookies made for a truly action packed day. The Red Team were victorious in the end with Peter Jenkins taking home Player of the Day title where he got himself a voucher for 5 x commando packs worth €200 where he can bring his friends back to show them how it’s done :) nice one Peter!!!

This without doubt was one of the most exciting Days of The SS Series and with previous games being prequil to more amazing games each time, it’s not a case of imagining what could possibly happen next, but more a case of….Where do I sign Up!?

For all you guys who missed last Sundays carnage out at Combat Zone, we are already coming up with more ideas to change it up a bit, more info to be released next month…

COMPETITION WINNERS

The end of The World Cup has finally came, some are sad, some relieved but there are three very happy people as they scooped €1,000  worth of prizes as part of our Facebook World Cup Competition!!!!

Q.1 Winner was David Reilly from Dublin who predicted Spain as the 2010 winner. David gets 10 x Play & Stay Packs worth €600 for himself and 9 of his friends which includes paintballing, 1 nights accommodation in Jurys Limerick and access to Trinity Rooms Nightclub where they will get VIP treatment.

Q.2 Surprise Winner was Andrew O Riordan from Cork who predicted Villa as Top Scorer. With assists, he came 2nd but seeing as noone had the winner, we decided to give it anyways. Andrew gets 5 x Commando Packs worth €200 for himself and 4 friends to come paintballing.

Q.3 Winner was Paul Moynihan from Clare who predicted Holland would be Runner Up 2010. Paul gets 5 x Commando Packs worth €200 for himself and 4 friends to come paintballing.

Well done to everyone who entered and those who also got it right, as there could only be one winner for each question, winners were picked at random, congrats lads!!!

This was the biggest competition yet for us and can’t wait for the next one, who doesn’t like free stuff :)

GORILLA IN THE HUT

Combat Zone’s resident Gorilla got a rude awakening when three players ran for cover in his hut, they thought they were running away from the enemy, not into it.

Nice kick too Gorilla, obviously leaning a few self defense moves out there :P think it was the fastest those guys ran in the whole game!!!

Anything can happen out at Combat Zone!!!

MARSHAL VS PLAYER 2010

A player that was with a stag from Galway decided it would be hilarious to launch a surprise attack on a marshal….how wrong was he, thinkin he could beat one of our marshals. One paintball led to another and a show down was agreed upon, the biggest laugh ever…don’t mess with a Combat Zone marshal, there’s a reason why they’re No.1 in Ireland!!!!

It’s never a dull moment out at Combat Zone, especially at the moment with the unreal weather we’ve been getting, anything can happen….and it does.

PLEASE NOTE: No players or marshals were hurt in the making of the above footage haha just the players PRIDE!!!!

WORLD CUP COMPETITION

GIANT PAINTBALL TAKES OUT 3 PLAYERS

During one of the games on Friday out in Combat Zone, 3 of the lads were wandering through the forest where out of nowhere they get attacked by a freakishly huge paintball. No one knows yet who or where this paintball came from but…think it might change the world of Paintballing…TBC

PLAYER CAUGHT CLIMBING TREE

It’s amazing what some people will do to avoid being shot!!! This is what we found out at Combat Zone Paintball games on Sunday evening, we won’t mention any names but the BEST MAN from Galway on Mark’s Stag do thought he’d climb up for cover, oh how wrong was he :) One of the funniest things we’ve seen out there!! And no guys, you’re not allowed to climb the trees…
